We’ve now completed our major trip for 2012 and returned back in Tennessee, just outside of Knoxville. We won’t be here long, but it gives us a chance to catch up with our friends. Kathryn especially enjoys this. In addition to spending weekends with her friend Sasha, she had a weekend retreat with the church. This gave Mary and I a whole two days of quiet in our little Aluminum abode.
We also went to a local high school 3A football game. Having grown up in Texas, as well as being in the marching band, attending Friday night games was something I did for years. So it brought back some good memories.
It was a bit different than our games years ago. We didn’t have smoke, lights and fireworks when our team was introduced (nor for every score like they did this night).
Being the last game of the year and just before Halloween, the bands were dressed in costume. I would have preferred seeing them in uniform, but it was still fun to watch.
We enjoyed our time back in Tennessee, but it’s time to hit the road again for a couple weeks. Our next stop… Disney World.
