Nehalem Bay State Park

On our rush up to the north, we took I-5 through the state. Now as we’re slowly making our way back south, we’re taking the PCH. I like this scenery much better.

The PCH

Our first stop is Nehalem Bay State Park. This stop was Kathryn’s first visit to the ocean.

Running in the waves

I think she enjoyed it.

The beach here is fairly long and the waves were rather gentle, making for nice strolls along the waterline.

Mary, Kathryn and the sand pipers

You know, it is so nice to be able to get done with your work for the day and within a couple minutes be walking along the beach. It’s really a great way to unwind. And yes, I enjoy this life.
