While in Albuquerque, we stayed at the Enchanted Trails RV Park and Trading Post.
The Trading Post was built in the late 1940′s to attract traffic from Route 66. Nowadays there is a campground behind the Trading Post with 135 mostly pull through sites. Given the desert location, there is a distinct lack of grass or just about any other form of plant life. However, the sites include full hookups with 30 amp service.
The owner has maintained the classic feel of a Route 66 attraction, including a campsite of vintage trailers just behind the Trading Post that are available for rent.
Enchanted Trails is located convenient to both Petroglyph National Monument and to Albuquerque. We’d stay here again when back in this area. But for now, we’re off to our first WBCCI rally.
